Colorado Peace Officer's Handbook, 2016-2017 Edition

Colorado Peace Officer's Handbook, 2016-2017 Edition

This newest edition of the Colorado Peace Officer's Handbook has been completely updated to include legislative changes during the previous year that are relevant to the Colorado law enforcement community. The statutes included are the most pertinent for the everyday decisions that peace officers must make on the job, including:

 • Criminal Code
 • Traffic Code
 • Children's Code
 • Drugs/Controlled Substances/Alcoholic Beverages
 • Criminal Procedure Code/Criminal Rules/Constitutions

The Handbook also includes Field Procedure Guidelines, developed by Police Legal Advisor Bob Keatley. It is a comprehensive synopsis of general criminal and civil law principles written to aid peace officers in making criminal procedure decisions in the situations and circumstances that confront them. Also inside is the Misdemeanor Summons and Complaint Charging Manual, reprinted with permission of Ken Hall, which provides a quick, alphabetical reference to the statutes that a peace officer enforces most often. This handbook is a must-have for all Colorado law enforcement officials who need to stay up-to-date on changing laws and regulations.
