Today's society faces a multitude of compounding and inter-related socio-ecological challenges. To navigate this "sustainability challenge" and capture the innovation opportunities that come with it, we need leaders who can plan and act strategically toward sustainability. The Sustainability Handbook outlines a structured approach to this complex challenge, providing fundamental social and ecological knowledge from which scientifically-derived definitions have been established. It includes examples showing how such approaches can be applied. The Handbook is a primary source for academic courses around the world and can be useful in any discipline.
